Family rating: great (good climbing but no routes for little kids). A special cool canyon with conglomerate walls.
Access: From the parking area walk down into the canyon (10 to 15 minutes). There is a spring with drinking water at the parking.
Topo guide: Grimper dans le Haut-val Durance (available in Briançon, L’Argentière-la-bessée and Guillestre.…).
Best season: Spring-Summer-Autumn.
Routes: Great routes. Lots of pockets. Good for on-sighting. Ranging from 6 to 8c. Single pitch routes.
Routes for little kids/teaching crag: no.

Campsites in the valley. Hotels in Guillestre.
On rest days:
- Climbing for the kids on falaise de l’Horloge in L’Argentière-la-Besséé (right in the village).
- Good swimming in the lake of Roche de Rame (great after a good day climbing): you’ll pass the lake driving up to Briançon.
- Via ferrata: Gorges de la Durance and falaise de l’Horloge.
- Canyoning: vallée du Fournel.
